Hello! I'm back home now, was over in the USA last week for 4 gigs - got back on Monday morning, and I'm pleased to announce I think I got over teH laGG swiftly this time.
All the parties were great, Seattle at the War Rooms was even better than last time - was good to catch up with my friends over there, do the obligatory pilgimage to the first ever Starbucks and the Pike Place market and just chill out in the hotel and watch movies and have room service...
San Fran was on Wednesday, for the Compression guys, but at a new venue - was a really good, mixed crowd, a lot of elecroclashy types mingling with the junglists and all getting on very well. My electrosuperheroes Davidian and Mr Sleazemore came down - and we got to have a quick chat, but I got distracted by all the boobies and lost them. SORRY guys! I'll make it up to you in Miami! The glorious Marcy Meow was in attendance complete with 'the Twins' her fabulous new boobies - alas I didn't get to sign them cos she had a photo shoot to do the next day, but I did get a squeeze! :-)
Went to Santa Fe on Thursday and met some fab people! The party was a big Fetish party for a lovely lady called Joolz's Birthday, and I hung out with her, Scott & their mates. Had a really nice time, got on with them really well, and definitily think that's somewhere I'll be especially glad to go back to in the future and look forward to seeing them again. We went to a couple of bars on the Thursday night and I tried out my new chatting-up-girls-skills from a book my mate Cooper reccommended to me (I won't divulge the title in case of outing my techniques!) AND I ended up getting adopted by a group of SEVEN GORGEOUS LESBIANS! Hahah! Quality. The gig on Friday night was good fun too, playing to a room full of people all dressed up prevocatively and generally being very sexy. The only downside was no alcohol allowed - but that was a problem eclipsed by all the semi-nakedness. Huzzah. Oh, and thanks to whoever brought me the can of red bull that really had Beer in it! :-)
WEnt to Providence, Rhode Island for the gig on Saturday. Longish flight so I was pretty mashed but perked up by the time I got there. Tommie Sunshine was playing after me so I hung around to have a chat and check out his set. Fabulous as usual. The venue was definitely a good one too, SLAMMING sound system, my god - so loud, but totally crisp. BOH! Had one of those ghay rotary mixers though, feels like you're playing asteroids or something.
Trip home was ok, flight was dead so I got to stretch out for once. OH, but I got into DC pretty early, so had a few hours to kill, and like an oasis of pure heaven, someone decided to build a gourmet food and wine tasting place right by my gate... RESULT! So I hung out there for a couple of hours and had the nicest Sauvignon Blanc of the year so far! And met a very nice lady into the bargain. I'll have to fly through Dulles more often!
Other than that, just been finishing off the album stuff - did the mixes for both CDs yesterday, just checking the mastering and putting track ID markers in tonight. Then can start getting promos out and all that stuff that you probably aren't interested in hearing about... "Just get the bugger out!"
Haven't had time to get to the gym yet, so I guess that's on the list for tonight - oh, and I did my grocery shopping online for the first time evvvver today. Nice to wake up to the delivery man bringing me bottles of Tesco's Finest Chablis and Swordfish Steaks... Yeeehar! Might be going out tonight if I can persuade my mates to come out on a school night - last time I went out in Maidenhead, a couple of weeks ago, I had a really good time - went out with Doug/Martin/Nicky&her BF, they ended up going home - I met some girls and took them to the honeypot to check out the strippers and had a really good night, it's way better in there now they've done it up, like not scarey anymore basically - I've always had wierd issues with strip clubs, kinda make me feel uneasy, but I think I'm getting over it! Hah. I don't think that will stretch as far as actually having anyone strip on my behalf, but at least I don't shake anymore... Hahah!
Aaight, well I've written too much again - here's a miLLLLIon photos to check out - the first batch are from last week in the USA from my camera, then there's heaps from when I played at A38 in Hungary, check out www.drumandbass.hu for more - and then finally just some random ones off my cameraphone from wherever...
Lots of Love
Mr B

Woman in shadow at centre of pic overheard loudly saying to her friend (in bar at Mexican Restaurant) "OMG ITS JUST LIKE BOY GREORGE WITHOUT THE MAKE-UP!". So I took a photo of her. No amount of make up could make that hoebag look halfway decent. Hah!

Shop made for me, in an airport somewhere...

No suprise to see a sign like that in SF...

Kade from suicidegirls by the pig at Pike St Market in Seattle. Just after we took that pic, a mother was with her kid and the kid shouted 'HEY LOOK AT THAT PIG" - I said "Hey, cuMMMawn, I'm not that overweight!". Not funny at all. The kid laughed though. Tough audience.
